Home Assistant Log Sanitizer

Remove common private values from a Home Assistant log before sharing it. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Troubliq does not upload, transmit or store the text you paste here.

Nothing has been processed.

What this tool attempts to remove

  • Common access tokens, API keys, secrets and passwords when they follow recognizable labels
  • JWT-like tokens and long hexadecimal values
  • IPv4 and common IPv6 addresses
  • Email addresses, URLs, UUIDs and labeled coordinates
  • Labeled Wi-Fi names and usernames

What still requires manual review

  • Street addresses, personal names, room names and custom device names
  • Unusual tokens or credentials without a recognizable label
  • Serial numbers, MAC addresses, hostnames and account-specific identifiers
  • Secrets split across multiple lines or embedded in custom data formats

Safe sharing checklist

  1. Use only the smallest log section needed to explain the error.
  2. Run the sanitizer, then read the entire output manually.
  3. Remove anything that identifies your home, network, people, devices or accounts.
  4. Keep the original log private. Share the sanitized copy only.
  5. If unsure, describe the error instead of publishing the raw diagnostic archive.

After sanitizing, use the Home Assistant Error Decoder to find the closest troubleshooting path. For current release reports, check Current Home Assistant Problems & Integration Health.

Limitations: this is a convenience aid, not a security guarantee. It performs pattern matching in your browser and cannot recognize every private value. No text is intentionally transmitted by this page.
